Dr. Makbule Eren is the chief of the division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition of Liv Hospital and a Professor of Pediatrics at Istinye University Faculty of Medicine. After graduating from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1997; Dr Makbule Eren completed her pediatrics residency in Hacettepe University Ihsan Dogramacı Children’s Hospital, Ankara between 1997-2002. She received Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition training in the same institute between 2002 and 2004. After serving as an Assistant Professor in Baskent University, Ankara for two years she set up the Pediatric Gastroenterology and Hepatology Department in Eskisehir Osmangazi University Faculty of Medicine in Eskisehir and maintained an active clinical practice as the chair of this department between years of 2006- 2019. She became an associate Professor in 2011 and Professor in 2016. She attended to a programme on motility and swallowing disorders in children at the “Columbia University Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital in New York as a guest professor in 2014. Dr. Makbule Eren is involved in all aspects of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition but especially interested in Feeding disorders and dysphagia, celiac disease, inflammatory bowel disease, Diarrheal Disorders and microbiota. She currently serves as Professor in Pediatric Gastroenterology in Istinye University Liv Hospital.
